You have voted and made your case. And after careful consideration, and doing some math, I have come to a conclusion which will hopefully make everyone happy. 

And we will do a backer directed bookish hexed derpy at $11,000 instead of $12,000 because I'm that impatient 🤣😂.

So it's win-win. You get the adult 🐉 dragon 💀 skull and I get a new derpy to inspire me. 🥰 🐉

Ultimately I hope that we still reach $12k. But I'll push up the goals so we can start brainstorming together. We have 5 days left, so there's still a lot of time to reach the stretch goal.

Now, let's get those inspiration juices flowing! I can't guarantee that what my Muse interprets will be exactly what you picture, but lets see what we come up with!

Now I'm off to vegitate. The in-person market yesterday, while a lot of fun, has me exhausted. But look at all those derpies in the display! (And my little assistant Neziko)

I'd meant to finish the shadow derpy dragon illustration for you today too, but after signing 200 tip ins for my deluxe edition novels my wrist needs a break 😅. 

Maybe tomorrow if I have time after my commission. If not, I will work on it on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I had an epiphany as to why I haven't been as engaged this past week despite life demanding my attention. 

I realized that the 11th design of the adult skull dragon isn't exciting me as much as my Derpies do. And so, I feel a lack if enthusiasm to talk about it. Not that I dislike him, he just doesn't make me all giddy with excitement. 

So I have a question for you. Would you rather unlock the adult skull dragon at $11,000 or... Help me design a brand new Derpy Dragon? 

The Derpy Dragon's theme would be "hexed" - a haunted bookish derpy where you will help me decide its features and colours.

Greetings Hoarders,

It's been a minute since I visited your mailboxes! My greatest apologies. It has been a crazy week! With so many different plates spinning all at once, something is bound to be pushed to the background. And unfortunately, that meant daily updates for you guys.

But busy means that a lot of good things have happened! Though most of it was the boring admin side of my life, I did manage to illustrate 4 new illustrations this week! (Which is a lot for me.) One was a commission, but two were for my novel Star Awakened & Star Found. 

And just because I don't want to have no eye candy for you, here is one of the finished illustrations! This will be the back end paper for my deluxe edition for my novel Star Awakened. If you missed the campaign, I just opened the pre-order store for it! (It was one of my admin jobs this past week ^_^)

Now, back to derpy dragons, if you missed the livestream, I made a sped up timelapse you can watch the Voodoo derpy come to life! 

I have a confession to make. Drawing live is a bit nervewrecking, not because the art is hard, but because talking live feels awkward. 

As I have an in-person market this weekend, it won't be live, but I will share the final result with you once I finish it! 

Speaking of finished art & sharing results, I finished the "Inky" pin art you guys voted for! (Don't worry, one day he will be a full illustration as well!) Isn't he cute?

This little guy will be part of the next campaign in January as part of Pintopia. And you can get both these pins FREE when you back both me and my son's campaigns. These were truly a collaboration where he drew the mushroom and I the dragon.

I will leave you today with the stangest art I've done. For my sons' & husband's birthdays, I created 'commissions' for them. And while I personally don't care for fanart, they do. 

So here are the 3 'commissions' I made for my family: (Still need one for my daughter ...though I fear what she will request 😅...at least I have till Dec for hers 😅)

I wanted to thank all of you who came and said hi at the livestream yesterday! I am a complete noob when it comes to livestreaming. In fact, turns out I had myself muted for the first half an hour before one kind soul hopped onto twitch and told me. 😅

Fortunately, while modern technology eludes me, my skill as an artist hasn't failed me and I was able to finish a brand new derpy dragon illustration in spite of my technilogical handicap. 

Presenting the derpiest and sussiest of all derpy dragons, the voodoo dragon! From sketch to finished illustration he took me just shy of 2 hours not counting the sketch time. 

He will now join the wall art selection of derpies and eventually the Derpy Dragons art book.

Now, I know that Inky won the poll for the one you guys wanted me to illustrate. So I will finish his pin design soon and share it in a future update. I couldn't stop my Muse from drawing the Voodoo dragon live. Every time I tried opening Inky it just felt wrong. Probably because it's the Haunted Dragon campaign, and Inky is in the next one!

I blame my ADHD brain's hyperfocus. When it decides on the thing it wants to obsess over, I can't turn it off. I find it really hard to switch modes, and in my brain bookish dragons have been catalogued as a future-me project. So when livestream nerves kicked in, I had to go with what flowed and felt more natural.

Anyway, I hope you love my little pink dragon ^^ I know I do.

Back to this campaign, we are really close to unlocking the adult dragon skull! We have 12 days left in the campaign, so there is a high likeliness we will reach it. If you get a moment, I would love if you can share the campaign with friends and family!

Greetings Hoarders,

My apologies for not sharing an update yesterday. I got stuck having to manually delete 700 SKUs for another campaign and it sucked all my energy and time. But I am back, and I finally get to reveal the Mummy you found in the crypt! 

Wait, that is both... but it is no mistake on my part. I decided that I felt too bad to leave the green mummy all by his little lonesome, so I went ahead and unlocked BOTH mummy derpy dragon pins!
(I just don't have enough patience 😅to wait for $10,000)

That means that all 10 Haunted dragons are now unlocked. And we are working towards the adult skull dragon. Which, I will wait for $11,000. He doesn't give me the same puppy dog eyes as much as the poor mummy derpy did. And should we reach $12,000 I will do a backer inspired design!

Check out how pretty your adventure map looks now! Will we reveal the final treasure in the crypt? Guess only time will tell! We still have 14 days left in the campaign! So anything is possible 😁. (I really want a haunted book dragon!)

The finished illustration will be added to the wall art for derpies, so choose wisely. While I hope to one day illustrate most of the derpies, I want to finish at least one tomorrow!
